Clever Knitters,
We haven't done this since November (!) but Knitnews is back! With a vengeance! Helena took a day-job and has been terribly delinquent about getting these things done. But Lexi is doing an amazing job keeping the shop running during the week, and Helena is still around on weekends and occasional knitnights, and Rhonda (our longtime sock knitting teacher, resident expert, and all-around-awesome gal) is filling in when needed. We are ALL hard at work to keep Clever Knits an awesome and delightful place. As always, if you've been following us on twitter or facebook then you have been kept abreast of many updates, new yarn arrivals, etc - and that's really the best way to know what's going on.

1. (Chinese) New Year, New Yarnbomb
We are in need of some fresh Yarn Graffiti for the shop. Some of our ductwork coverings have faded, and there are other places in the shop that need yarn-bombing (the pull-chains for the fans, the front door handle - I'm SURE there are other spots, too). So come by, see what you can yarnbomb, and get to work on an appropriately-sized swatch! Each contribution gets you 10% off your purchase the day you bring it in. Contributions must be pre-approved by Clever Knits staff to receive discount (we don't need to yarn-bomb our toilet, so we just want to make sure that you don't intend to knit us a toilet-cozy!). Yarnbombs can be made out of ANY scrap yarn in your stash - it doesn't have to be anything fancy or even nice, just as long as it's pretty! The usual fine print applies.
2. New Classes & some Old Favourites, too
A few repeats, and a few brand newbies. I think you'll like the selection of classes we have in the coming months! You can always find our full list of current class offerings on our website - just click the 'classes' link at the top of the Clever Knits website. You can even sign up online. We have LOADS of new classes coming in April & May, so be on the lookout for those, too!

3. In the News
A writer for the San Diego Union Tribune was driving through downtown Vista one Tuesday night, and suddenly came to a screeching halt in the middle of the street when he saw what was going on at Clever Knits. He was SO EXCITED that he wrote up an amazing article on us. You can read it here.
